Congratulations, Phil Greenberg!
Professor Phil Greenberg was recently elected to the National Academy of Sciences. Greenberg is among 120 new members and 23 international members elected “in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research,” announced May 2 by the academy.
Phil (sometimes referred to as Dr. T cell), is currently Professor and Head of the Program in Immunology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and Professor in both the UW SoM Dept. of Immunology and Dept. of Medicine in the Division of Medical Oncology. Phil’s research has focused on elucidating T cell responses to both tumors and chronic viral antigens. His lab has been at the forefront of the development and translation of adoptive T cell therapy for the treatment of human disease. He has been a strong advocate and invested member of the UW Dept. of Immunology and has served as an important bridge to the FHCC scientific community. We could not be prouder of this important and well-deserved recognition of his scientific contributions! Congratulations, Phil!
