Why I chose UW Immunology
The Immunology program at UW was my top choice for it’s location, people, and commitment to student development. Seattle provides a fantastic balance of city life with natural beauty, not to mention it is a hub for scientific innovation. The trainees, faculty, and staff in this department are incredibly warm and welcoming, and I know I will graduate from this program ready for the next step!
Activities and Interests
Outside of the lab, I love to stay active in the outdoors through hiking and biking, rock climbing, and spending time in the the numerous parks Seattle offers.
My Advice
Talk to those around you! We all have been where you are and can provide different perspectives on what the transition can be like moving to Seattle and starting a PhD.
More about me
Through collaboration between the Gerner and Urdahl labs, I aim to identify microenvironment changes in the lung draining lymph node during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection settings.
