Once admitted and enrolled, UW Immunology graduate students are required to earn their doctoral degree within seven years. They must complete departmental as well as UW Graduate School requirements in order to earn a Ph.D. degree.
Flexible requirements characterize the UW Immunology graduate program. However, most successful applicants will have completed survey courses in biology, chemistry, and physics; one year of organic chemistry; and mathematics through integral calculus. Prior exposure to immunology through formal coursework, and especially through laboratory research, is desirable. Evidence of superior scholarship is required.
